I wouldn't know what is said because I don't frequent the anon meme [s]at least not for Merlin fandom[/s]. Being anonymous is fine and I get the comfort people have in not having to give their names, but I tend to look the other way when anon people criticize me for something because it is none of their business.

Maybe it's the fact that I'm getting older and wish to look at the world as less of a production of High School Musical.

I kind of agree re anon memes, since often-times people don't even know what they're talking about, but this is more about people being defriended for being friends with people who openly go to the meme and even after years of friendship, which to me is just baffling. I'd put my friends over any fannish disagreement, or at least try to work it out.
