Callisto is gone. she died while i was away in new york. i got a hold of laura and hour before the superbowl to check on things. my phone had been dead so i used bjs. we were at a sports bar so it was loud and rowdy so obviously i couldn't hear her very well... she just says can you get somewhere quieter? i thought something might be wrong. i

I'm so sorry. Just in the few days looking after them I discovered what amazing pets these animals can be. I spent much more time with them then I did with your cat...no shocker there i guess...but still, I found myself talking to them like i do with dogs.

It's always a trade-off with pets. They make us so happy, then leave us far too soon.

Anyway, I'm sorry I don't have anything more inspirational to say. When the time comes that you feel like you want to go looking for another animal to bring into your home, I'd be happy to keep you company on the search if you like.

For now, just know that the pain and sadness of her passing will eventually pass, while the happiness and good memories she gave you will stay with you always. Hopefully that's a comfort.
