I have ALWAYS wanted a talking bird. Some day perhaps I will have one, but for now my home and schedule are not stable enough.

I've never doubted their intelligence. I had a friend years ago whose roommate had a macaw that would imitate the sound of the ringing phone and then giggle when someone came running in to answer it, and who would scream "Good Morning! Good Morning!! with increasing insistence if someone came into the room in the morning and didn't uncover his cage.

That's exactly it :) they always know, and if they pretend they don't understand, it is only to manipulate you into the place they want you to have. Smug bastards :)

likes to play & pray
but doesn't stay inside the house for too long:
always curious, listening, looking & spooking around ~
