Thanks, Lindsey! I'm glad you like it. I've been pondering this story for quite some time and am glad RL is allowing me some writing space at last. But do not fear, all will be revealed . . . in time. :) Chapter two will be up in a few days.

I love the way you described Jack and Ennis. It reminds me of The Odd Couple, or maybe The Brokeback Odd Couple? ; )
Jack's office reminds me of my own bedroom...lol...
I'm thinking that the picture in Ennis's wallet is of his boyfriend who, either, left him, or died unexpectedly. I'm anxious to hear more about that.
Jack and Ennis are off to a good start. We know Ennis is attracted to Jack, and I have a feeling it's mutual by the way Jack didn't break the hand shake first.
I'm really looking forward to your next chapter. I'm already hooked! : )

I'm so glad you like it! I hadn't thought of the Odd Couple, but it does fit--one so messy, and the other obsessively tidy. Fortunately they will not be cranky but amiable together here for the most part. And don't worry--all your questions will be answered, eventually. :)
