Characters: Oliver Day (oliverplus) and Isaac (grand_gaia ) Location: The Astral Kitchen Time: After some note swapping Summary: Isaac has something Oliver would like back! Warnings: Pft. no.
When Oliver walks into the kitchen, he's wondering how long he might have to wait for Isaac to see the message and come to meet him. He hopes his friend will be checking the kiosk often, especially considering they were about to plan a meet-up in Isaac's last question. Even so, Oliver is considering dropping to the TARDIS for a moment for a book. And as a result of being lost in thought, he doesn't immediately see the young man already at the table in the kitchen. When he does notice him, he jumps a little. "Isaac! I didn't see you there!"
After a second of being startled, however, Oliver's expression shifts immediately into an excited grin. His eyes go right to the package cradled in Isaac's hands, and he practically dives to sit across from him at the table. "Is that it? Have you got him!?"
"Ohhh yes! Cheers!" Oliver has to restrain himself from snatching the package out of Isaac's hands. He manages to accept it somewhat calmly, but he immediately begins to unwrap the cloth, eager just to see his lost item again. Once the figurine is visible, however, he freezes. For a moment, he can only stare down the little wizard, delight warring with sadness in his gaze. But the moment quickly passes, and then he takes a deep breath and turns back to Isaac with a smile. "Thanks so much for this!"
He looks into Isaac's eyes as he says it. It's an instinctive move; he isn't consciously checking if his empathy ability has returned. But purposeful or not, he's about to get a dose of Isaac's current feelings, whatever they may be.

"He was a bit worse for wear when I found him," the blond explains, "I had to give him a bit of a clean, but nothing was broken."
