I hate stopping to get gas in the morning (usually because it'll make me late). I've probably stopped for gas two or three times on the way to work in my entire life. Today I stopped to get gas. I put in my cash card like always, and my PIN, and it said "PAY CASHIER INSIDE - PUMP IS STOPPED". Went inside, paid $10. Clerk said the message was for me ( Read more... )

Last night driving back from the 'Chronicles' Xmas party we saw a wide range of road conditions. Roads were dry way down in the southwestern suburbs where we were, expressways were dry too, except one particular bridge on 294 that was wet and clearly had been icy too, as there were emergency vehicles everywhere. So last week I ordered a film scanner, and it arrived last night. My first thought: I can't afford to keep it. I don't take a lot of pictures either. It works well, although better with slides than negatives. I took one of the 35mm movie trailers from my collection and sacrificed it (the scanner requires the film to be in pieces). I can't say I'm too enthused about the internet courses offered this semester. I think I'll try registering for PHS 101 Physical Science Survey. If the internet section is full, then I'll probably just look for a regular class instead.

As it turns out, I didn't have time to really look at the course schedule today. I'll take it home and do some thinking. Had to get a new progress report so I could figure out what I still need to take.
