Went to bed yesterday after I got home, tried to sleep, suffered restless leg syndrome so had to get up again. Tried again at 6 pm. I put on the Simpsons (the excellent Tomacco episode) and fell asleep almost instantly. Only took me 40 minutes to get home from work. Not bad. Tired now, probably going to bed for a while.

Sitting here at work (yeah, I made it), have permission to go home at noon. The cold medicine is wearing off (took it at 5 am) and this hour is just dragging... hopefully by the time I'm done with this little entry, I can leave.

I can tell I'm going to have an absolutely miserable day tomorrow. It'll be my first day back to work since December 23, for starters. I have a cold and feel like crap. Ever since November we've been planning on going to see Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers tonight on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately yesterday I came down with a cold, so there goes that plan. So now I'm home and fairly miserable. Oh well.

I'm currently having an argument with my movie database. I want to delete a corrupted record, and it won't let me. I'm hoping I won't have to revert to an earlier backup. Working on it now ( Read more... )

It's nice to have a bit of time off, and I'm still messing around with this film scanner. And watching movies. Thinking about venturing outside later today (Saturday) to do a bit of shopping. Hopefully the day-after-xmas shopping frenzy has died down a teeny bit. I haven't even been outside since xmas day.
