We finally got our keys to our house today! :D

We ripped the carpet out of the living/dining room, and BOY, was that FUN.

This week will be fun, I just know it!

As of today, we are HOME OWNERS!!!

We bid on a house today!

I can't wait to hear back.

Dart doesn't stink. I'm used to dogs having a doggy funk... but he... just... doesn't... STINK!

In fact, right now, he kind of smells like frosted sugar cookies... sometimes, he smells like clean laundry.

Weird.

Peach and I started to look at houses this weekend.

There are some nice places in the Westland/Garden City/Dearborn Heights area... and housing prices are dropping. So, hopefully we'll get a good deal. If all goes to plan, we'll be moved into a house in 6 months.

I'm so excited! I'm so sick of renting.

I just heard from a few people yesterday that Detroit is closing down their animal control facilities due to budget cuts for "non-essential" services. All of the animals there will be euthanized if they aren't adopted or placed in other shelters by Dec. 17th. I got my new corn snake on Saturday night! She's a blizzard yearling. She's so cute and docile! We'll feed her tomorrow night for the first time. I can't wait. For the snake-a-phobic, pic behind the cut.
