hey adam, its shellane if you hadnt noticed :-P i saw ur away message that said to comment, so here i am, well i would have to say yes, that being honest sometimes makes people assholes, depending on the person with whom ur being honest with, some people cant handle the truth and the way they defend themseleves is calling you an asshole, but i noticed that i personaly would rather you tell it to me the way things are and dont lie to me, honesty is a key factor in how i distinguish my friends and if you are not honest with me, then ur an asshole, but even if ur honest with me and say to me "you have a fat ass," as long as its true and ur not lying, then ya i have a fat ass :-P i feel like i'm writing an essay for berard in here, lol im kinda lost on the honesty/sarcasm part but its late and im tired cya in english in the am

omg u cocky fagit!!111

All I know is, I get bitched out a lot since peolpe don't understand sarcasm at all since their morons, you really need to watch what you say around some people, since unless the sarcasm is obvious they'll just think you're being an asshole.

hahah, a lot of people think I'm cocky, since I am, but in all trivial things...(like, games)...

the thing is, I don't see what's wrong with boasting or acting cocky if you're actually that good in a given field..

and, people who consider you an asshole, either A.) don't understand sarcsam or B.) see A.

w00t.
we're going to FW sometime in november.

Honesty can cause a lot of useless trouble sometimes, if misused. In most situations where honesty is called for, there's the honest answer, and the answer the person wants to hear. Sometimes, they are one and the same. Other times, they are not. To distinguish these two requires tact. For instance, you wouldn't tell a pregnant woman that she looked like a hippo with a gland problem; that would be tactless. But if for instance, someone was being an annoyance, you should have no qualms about letting them know.
As for being cocky versus self confidence, if you know and are confident in your ability or skill in a certain field, you should not need to broadcast it. Instead, that opinion should filter back to you, through others that notice. If not, who cares? If you know that you have great ability, it doesn't matter what others say. Self confidence should be internal. Granted, we all like to try and strengthen that opinion by stating it, and as with everything, there's an acceptable limit.

yeah, I have homework to do. later.
