[02] Chapter 3
The voices of three little monkeys bashing their little toy cars into the Lego made Mount Fuji vibrated off the walls in the living room, as the three adults sat around the dining table drinking coffee while looking at their kids.
“So,” Changmin started, and honestly he really didn’t know what to say so he just let it float around them.
“What you planning on telling Junsu?” he finally broached the question that was on all their minds.
“Honestly? Or WHAT do I want to tell him? Because if it was up to me, I’d tell him nothing containing remotely what actually happened.” Yoochun finally spoke up while looking at his coffee cup as if it held all the answers.
“Nothing? Honestly Yoochun, what do you plan on saying, ‘he looked like douche, so I punched him and got our kids, and soon their cousins kicked out of a private school’ yeah that will go over so well, I can just see it now, half the apartment would be in shambles and the rest fearing for its life.” Changmin offered.
“You asked.”
“Seriously though, how are you planning on broaching the subject?” Jaejoong asked, calm and collected.
“I have no idea, this will freak him out and he isn’t going to be able to sleep for weeks after.”
“Why won’t he be able to sleep?” Changmin asked after he figured out that Yoochun wasn’t going to elaborate on the subject anymore.
“The nightmares, the ones from the beginning of our family, he still get them whenever he feels stressed or our kids are in danger.” And Yoochun spun his coffee cup this way and that, watching as the liquid sloshed everywhere before it settled down.
“Nightmares? Wait, THE nightmares? The ones where he kept freaking out your sons would get taken away?” Jaejoong asked.
“What nightmares? The hell don’t I know about them?” Changmin asked befuddled.
“You were to young Min.” Jaejoong offered as a good reason for keeping such a big secret from him for all these years.
“TO YOUNG?” his voice rose an octave and then went back to normal when he noticed their kids had stopped playing and were watching them. “The hell I was!” he whispered harshly.
“Changmin…” Yoochun began to say but was cut off by said person.
“Don’t, Changmin me! I watched my male band mate slash brother become pregnant I was there for the birth I named them and I was too young to know about some nightmares?”
The two older ones shared a look and both heaved a sigh.
“Junsu didn’t want you to know.” Yoochun offered.
“What? Why?”
“You were in the middle of being done with school, up to your ears in exams and then you had the band duties, he didn’t want to add more to your plate.” Jaejoong explained and his voice held a note of appreciation for Junsus judgment.
“Bite me!” he hissed, but Changmin also knew that there was really nothing he could do about it now.
“Sorry, but it’s true.”
“Fine, whatever, I will talk to Junsu-hyung about this, but you have to tell me now, I think I’m old enough and have less on my ‘plate’.”
The two rolled their eyes as Changmin imitated Jaejoongs earlier words but smiled slightly anyway.
“Well, it was a month after we had moved into the new place, and our neighbors, the old people. Remember them?” Yoochun asked Changmin, who was looking at him like he was stupid.
“Right. Well they kept showing up at our doorstep, welcoming us, asking how we were doing, and how the twins were. Right?”
“Yes, get on with it!” Changmin said impatiently.
“Well, Junsu was becoming edgy at first then before I knew it he kept freaking out at people asking bout Min-Yoo and Su. I thought maybe it was mom hormonal thing, but no. Apparently he had started to have dreams where, people had found out that our boys were conceived by us and that he had carried and given birth, so they took them away from us to be ‘studied’ and soon after they would take him, it was these bizarre nightmare that soon escalated to at least 3 to a night, and before I knew it he had stopped trying to sleep, it was pretty bad,” Yoochun explained in as few words as possible the horror he had to go though of watching his one soul mate body and heart nearly loose his mind.
Changmin for the most part just sat there and absorbed what Yoochun had said and then he nodded his head.
“I knew there was a good reason you two had suddenly decided to go on a month’s vacation to an obscure country side of Japan. And YOU!” he turned to Jaejoong “said I was just seeing things where there were no things to be seen. Ass.” Jae just let out a small chortle. Trust their snarky youngest to remember that.
“Wow, can you be anymore freaky with that memory of yours?”
“Shut up Chun-face.” And suddenly the heavy almost suffocating atmosphere had lifted off and they were all giggling at the stupid nickname Junsu had given him.
“But honestly, back on topic, what are we going to tell Junsu? Since from what you just said earlier, he does still get those dreams, this will probably send him flying underground in a bomb shelter.”
“I really don’t know Jaejoong; I mean how do you begin something like this?”
“Well, you could always try, hun, your ass has never looked so tight, and our kids got into a fight because they got called an abomination.”
“Changmin, I didn’t think there was anything in the world you could have said worse than what you said about the one that gave birth to your son, until I heard that. What goes on in that mind of yours?” Jaejoong asked.
“A lot of things,”
“Seriously? Cause all I’m getting is open mouth insert foot.” Yoochun supplied as Jaejoong appeared to have been just stuck in state of complete incomprehensiveness.
“Hey, you asked, you didn’t say anything about having to be sentimental or stuff, you just said how, what I offered you was, a way how to tell Junsu.”
“Tell me what?” and suddenly the three nearly jumped out of their skin when Junsus voice asked the question.
“Tell me what?” He repeated again, seeing as the three had all identical looking faces, deer caught in headlights look.
“Yoochun?”
And Yoochun for the most part just kept opening his mouth and closing it, this was not how he planned this to go. Ok he didn’t even actually plan it yet, but this situation he was in right now would have not been in any of his thousand and one ways he planned.
“Your ass is tight, and me and Min-Su am abo-abo-a bomb.” Min-Yoo offered to help his appa since he looked lost and he had heard what Uncle Changmin had said.
“My ass is tight? And that our kids are bombs?” Junsu repeated the words but this time in question form.
The three adults at the table looked like someone had just stepped over their graves, faces pale ass white.
Well they were in crap land with shit continuing to rain on their heads.
