Some exciting gaming news: XSEED and Falcom have made a deal and the former is publishing the Sora No Kiseki trilogy! They are apparently quite popular in Japan because Falcom did a fantastic job on the worldbuilding and character development for these games. I've wanted these to come overseas for a long time now (tried the PSP ports a long time ( Read more... )

Sora no Kiseki sounds really exciting! :D When do they start coming out?

If there are extra super exciting games for DS or PSP that are Japan-only that you think I should play, let me know! I'll go haunt Akiba in the fall or something. :b (I'm definitely picking up the Heian-era dating sim you recommended!)

Hope all is well- I miss you!!! (We must plot hanging out this summer.)

I miss you too, but am also so proud of and happy for you! お見事! As far as I know I'm around all summer unless I get a job, in which case I'll have to get back to you about times I can meet up. I'll definitely go to Otakon if I can scrounge up the cash (i.e. get a job).

According to this interview with RPGamer, they're going to release FC sometime next year, and will take a while to get SC and The Third out. (SC really is huge; I don't recall ever seeing another two-UMD game ( ... )

I love otome games to death, surprise. So I can highly recommend Otometeki Koi Kakumei! Love Revo for any system. (Though I think the DS game is the best version.) It plays almost exactly like a Tokimeki Memorial game, except they've added the extra stats (for losing weight and gaining muscle, etc.) But the DS version doesn't have a voice-over. Hmm. Maybe the PC version is the way to go.

Also, Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan is one of my new favorite things.

You can be a non-human in Dragon Age: Origins. As well as any of the demon-kind and extra-planar species in Neverwinter Nights 2, but I could go on about Bioware for ages.

I didn't think that FF13 was a bad game at all, it just wasn't the game that I wanted to play. (Though they could have handled the evil characters a whole lot better.)

(I know you said you weren't going to respond, I just felt like saying my peace.)

There is a version of Love Revo for PSP coming out soon; are there DS- or PC-specific minigames or something that would make those better versions? (In regards to the DS version, I do find the loss of voices kind of problematic. :/)

I've wanted to play the Hakuouki games for a while now, actually. (Kitan's the anime, right?) I've heard they're pretty good for visual-novel otome games, with a decent heroine.

I admit to kind of wanting to try NWN2, but I'm also in an actual 4th Ed. game right now, and would be so confused. :P

I don't mind your and kitsunewings's... disappointment? (not sure what to call it) at all, I enjoy talking with you guys about it, but the rest of the internet can just go sod off (and that's what the rant was about; sorry if it seemed more directed at you guys :x). Also yeah, totally agree about the antagonists.
