I loved the whole flerkin cat subplot. At first I thought it was just pandering to girl readers to have a focus on a cat, but then I was like, I really care about what happens to this cat! If you're looking for more comic books, I'd recommend reading Ms. Marvel. The lead is a Pakistani-American teenager and it's really well written and cleverly illustrated.
I've seen Age of Ultron twice. Once at the opening night screening at the el capitan theater and then again a week later at a less crowded daytime show at a theater where I could actually hear the dialog. I liked it well enough the first time, and even better the second time.
I wanted to say more about the problematic aspects, but I don't want to spoil it for you.
Oh, and I've been meaning tell you about another food suggestion. My landlady/friend Janet introduced me to something called beyond organic raw protein powder. It has 17 grams of protein per scoop. I've been mixing it with 12 to 16 ounces of soymilk every morning instead of having a starbucks hot chocolate or Frappuccino. My landlady uses a blender, I just pour it into a re-usable plastic water bottle and shake it up because I'm lazy. It's not cheap but it works out to be a lot less money than starbucks. You could probably find it at whole foods.
I havent really seen that brand of powder in the whole foods i usually go to in dc but visiting my parents in ny next week so will keep an eye out for it there. Thanks for the suggestion. :]
i'm thinking i need to read this now, mainly because it involves a racoon...
ever read julia wertz? i like how she writes about really everyday stuff but also addiction and serious things from an unexpected female perspective, i.e. like a real human. but funnier.
