A: The doctor wouldn't let me walk up the stairs where my computer is and she also wouldn't let me drive a car to use my work computer.

So I had to go back to the doctor yesterday for a surgical consult. Those words are weird to even type. I guess when they told me on Wednesday that I was going to have to have the surgery, I kind of downplayed it in my head. I was just sort of assuming that it was going to be an outpatient kind of thing where I'd be done and home on the same day. ( Read more... )

I'm not dying as I had convinced myself that I might be. But I do have to have surgery. I've never had surgery before. I can't say that I'm terribly excited about it. But maybe someone will take pity on me and deem me worthy of an Ipod for all my troubles. One can only hope.
