So I went to the home yesterday after many phone calls were made. To bring everyone up to speed, the hospital gave me a few phone numbers, five to be exact. fuck. the people in the home would have likely had some form of dementia, my gran has this. its really awful, they are literally in a world of their own, so as far as seeing your not a nurse, thats beyond them, the best thing really to do is play along and keep them happy, dont distress them. its such a shame. sorry youve had to put up with all this...

WHY didn't the people at the home have the body picked up? I don't want to question the reality of the story - I saw the pictures of the original post and you can't make that shit up. But when someone dies, don't they have someone to pick 'em up and take 'em to the morgue? I never heard of leaving someone for 14 hours with bags of ice on them.

You do definitely win for craziest story on LJ.

This reminds me of the lady who had to be surgically removed from her couch because her skin melded with the upholstery. I think I'd trade Shay for the Couch lady any day though!
