The How's My Driving? Meme

I don't know why, but Shuri is really easy to play for me. I'm not used to playing the Jerk Character archetype - Zoisite is a bit of a dick, but he's got that haughty 'i'm a villain and i'm superior to you' air. Shuri's just... like that popular guy at your highschool you've always really wanted to punch. I sympathize with him because he doesn't seem to get why people don't like him (poor konatsu) and he's definitely got some issues to get over - that cowardly stuff is just going to get him killed on the battlefield. But I also hate him because he's a complete douchebag - and once that initial 'ohmigawsh my daddy isn't here to protect me from the big bad world i'm going to die~' wears off, he'll start showing his true colors.

He's not a bad guy though. He's just filled with social fail and pretty much functions on the same mindset as most 'popular' highschoolers do - if it's different, kill it with words! Unlike most popular kids, though, he gets beaten on a regular basis by the person who he wants to beat. I think Luceti might do wonders for that haughty attitude of his, but I don't think he'll ever learn to watch his mouth. Or that friendship is sort of a mutual thing. I'm still kind of facepalming at the stupid mistakes I've made (his dad's rank, his relationship to hakuren, how to spell hakuren's name) but I just gotta remember for next time.

Speaking of saying careless things, today in school it was dead quite in my noisiest class. Jimmy and I were joking around as usual since we're usually the quietest people in the class, and we were a little confused at the silence.

Jokingly she said, "It's like somebody died."

And I said, "SPOILERS, I killed them."

About five minutes later the teacher announced that a former student had died waiting for a heart transplant last night. We both sunk in our seats and looked down.
