I love the friends that I've accumulated over the past couple of summers. They're all far away, and not all of them will be less so next year (but some will! yay! and I'll bring tea cups!), but I love all of them anyway

So, I created my MIT kerberos identity (and consequently e-mail account, so all of you can now send me e-mails to mariya@mit.edu if you want) ... and then I set up a facebook account.
I thought that something had exploded behind my head... but it was just a bird flying into my window.
By the time that I turned around, all I saw were a few feathers stuck to the glass and a very confused woodpecker flying to a nearby tree to recover. I think it's okay because... well... it flew away, and that's a good sign, right?
