Spyware Removal

I used Internet Explorer once last week and tonnes of spy-ware software got installed.

Is there a proven way of uninstalling them? I tried Norton Antivirus which is able to detect them but unable to uninstall/delete it.

I tried it. But it doesn't help. The application freezes mid way. I also tried using it in safe mode.

Are there any others that I can try.

1. Boot into linux
2. /sbin/mkfs.ext3 /dev/hdaX
(replace /dev/hdaX with whatever partition you have windows installed on)

And you can increment the pizza counter too!
