LOL..i understand your point to a degree, but here is my take on it:

Its not so much a protest against Millen but how the franchise was been run since the Fords bought the team. ONE playoff appearance in his 40+ yrs of ownership. People are tired of the inferior product being put out there by the franchise.

If you really want them to listen do what a wise man once told me: "Hurt them where it hurts most, in the wallet" -Bryan O.

Ok, good point, yes I remember saying that. I stand by that statement.

But none of the aforementioned antics is going to hurt them financially. If the situation is that bad, boycott the team.

Burning tickets is meaningless, because they are already paid for.

Wearing a Bengals shirt in the stadium isn't going to hurt them either, because the ticket is still paid for, and everyone is still going to buy hot dogs and beer.

Marching outside with signs? If you get thousands of people to do it, maybe they'll notice. But this will have to be combined with boycotting the team.

My point is this-

If you have a point to make, choose effective methods of making it. These silly antics are a waste of time.

To finish up what you're saying, Illitch owns the wings and the tigers. He's clearly known for spending big bucks to keep the wings a winning team. Here's the big picture: If attendance is so good at baseball games and Lion's games are selling out, why on earth would you put more money into the team to make it better or for any other reason? They haven't put money into them for years and attendance is still high.

Thanks for the info. In that case, people need to stop giving money to the Lions. Don't buy tickets, merchandise, or anything. THAT is an effective protest.
