Shlock horror!

I seem to drift in and out of this space much less frequently these days. Life is just so busy that I struggle just to squeeze in the most basic stuff - like eat, drink, clean teeth etc. Having said that, I still manage to find time to shop, watch an inordinate number of films and make batch after batch of biscuits (or cookies, if you are my ( Read more... )

There you are. I miss you. How sad does that make me ...?

Oh well, that's nothing we didn't already know.

I'll hope for the best with the V&A. That sounds shiny indeed.

Today we visited the Ashmolean which, from the exhibits in view, appears to be the museum that put in the low bid and ended up with all the artefacts other museums rejected. Good god, it was dull. Oxford blows.

*nostalgic sigh for the V&A and other bastions of civilisation*

Not as sad as me - I keep coming back, just like a junkie to a crack house.

You know, I've never even heard of the Ashmolean. Does that make me totally uneducated? Anything outside of London may as well be on Mars for all I know. Curse my ignorant, city bound arse.

Everything outside of London might as well be Mars. (No atmosphere, you see.)

God, that was hilarious. Or would've been, except it's true. I went down to London to the theatre weekend before last and I swear to god, there was more life and vibrancy and stimulation (oooh, Missus, etc) on Marylebone bloody Station than there is in the whole of poxy Oxfordshire.

Though 'poxy Oxfordshire' at least has a certain ring to it.

I've missed you as well. Welcome back!

I hope your attempts to jump ship to work at V&A are successful and you don't instead land in any shrak infested waters. Jumping between ships is a risky business after all.

All this talk of ships (and teenage crushes) makes me want to go and watch Pirates Of The Caribbean again

That film should officially be renamed Large Helping of Eye Candy on a Sandy Caribbean Beach. Bring on Part II, and fast!

Hurrah! You're back!

Baking biscuits is a completely valid use of time. In fact, I may bake some myself, seeing as my attempts to do other things are coming to naught.

Working at the V&A would be cool beyond all measure. Good luck!

Thanks!

The only problem with baking is that if I don't manage to eat half the mixture before it gets to the oven, then I simply hoover up the fresh and warm end product. Thoughts of sharing go completely out the window, and I always regret the fact that I didn't double the mixture.

Sheer gluttony and greed.

I would like some biscuits please. The post will do :)

Oh and I only just now realised that Joaquin Phoenix is actually Leaf. Rocket fast as ever.

You're not the only one. I had just assumed that Mr & Mrs Phoenix had had a larger passel of boy-children than I originally thought.

Or their hippy nonsense actually worked, and River was reincarnated into a new body.

[in best purring innuendo voice:] Hey Phoenix, nice incarnation. Rowr.

Welcome back to reality. Good luck with the ship jumping attempt, and if you are going to cook more biscuits then can i suggest this or this?

Indeed, although i think substituting the milk shoccy for white choccy would make it a whole lot better, and make me wishing i had some.
