I was thinking that was probably what they were, with the infamous slogan. I seem to be avoiding horrific things at the moment, with Israel being so vile and certain elected representatives being way too pally with Bush and learning so little from the mess they've made elsewhere, after all Blair's on record as saying he doesn't think there's much to learn from the past, and Bush, well.
It's strange, actually, I get most of my news these days from the guardian on the web or the economist (in the bathroom...) and I seem to get less immune to some of these images. Or maybe I'm just getting older and angrier.
In fact - the gulls were there long before any human ever came up with the astounding idea of 'landing' on the moon. I believe they are in fact keepers of the secrets of the ancient Egyptians who, of course, arrived to us from the lunar surface. The gulls are predecessors of the god Horus or some such..

Pictures 2,3 and 5 are from my front garden and local beach back in Aus, so that discredits the moon landing of the seagulls!
