Ignore this display of sentimentality - I'm just being uncharacteristically soft and weepy.. It's just that he was so good to the animals, anyone who loves wildlife that much is a hero in my book..
I know, you pretty much only need to step outside your front door to be beaten to death for the last 10p you have in your pocket.. In fact I think I'd prefer death by stingray!
I did think that was sad and you're about the fourth comment about it I've read about here, so he was more well known than I would have thought. It is giving me an urge to go scuba diving again, though. Dangerous but amazing.
It made me cry when I heard the news this morning, and I can't for the life of me think why, since I never watched his show. I'm having another little cry now, in fact. I suppose it's that he was so cheerful and enthusiastic and actually doing good things, and those aren't the sort of people we can spare.
