Hello rarely and irregularly updated livejournal world. 2009 was a good year - I did well in my classes, knocked out some research and spent time strengthening my bonds with friends. SO glad to finally be back in Seattle. I meant to see people in Berkeley but didn't :( got really sick instead.

Such a stressful week coming up! Mandatory/useless teaching orientation and then first year reports! Augh!

wow, only four weeks until First Year Talks... pretty much presenting an outline of my master's thesis proposal... I guess I need to start thinking about that. Everyone says not to worry because you don't need to show results, but that doesn't really make it any less stressful. 9:00 pm: Heat wave breaks. Roaring onshore flow!

It is way too hot in my apartment. Literally... it's 70 degrees outside and it feels like 90 in here. uuuugghghghggh I can't win.

First, my ipod died on Tuesday. Now, my phone has completely busted itself, right when I'm down in California with no back up phone. This is starting to get annoying.
