You could say I felt uplifted

Today, for the first time in my life, I did a pull-up. Two, actually.

This may not seem like a big deal to some of you, but considering all the time I spent in gym class dangling from the chin-up bar, grunting but not moving, while the teacher yelled at me, it felt something like an exorcism.

Cool. In addition to my daily bike commute, I've been trying to incorporate other exercises and it occurs to me that there is a pull-up bar on my commute (at the JP Pond)...hmmm...I think the most I could ever do in, like, 8th grade was maybe 3.

You should try to leap onto it from your moving bicycle.

I was thinking of doing a trackstand underneath the pull-up bar, then grabbing the bar, pulling up and back down fast enough so that the bike remains in place. All with my messenger bag firmly in place. It will be pretty hot.

Well I stopped at the pull up bar this morning, but it was only to pump up my...bicycle tire. There was a reasonably intimidating dude there doing like 20 in a row. I rode on, but will return!
