So I thought I'd update this old thing, just because I'm bored and a bit burnt out after the last Blackwing Lair run.

Alas, Snorro/Senor/Professor Confused is still very very determined to not eat anything but kibble and gravy. Don't hate me too much! He got Chicken Soup brand until the toxin scare, he's on Eukanuba senior right now because that's the only other food he'll reliably eat.

Its all good, Monty won't eat anything but kibble! Even after a two day plus fast. Some cats just are trouble. :) I know you love your meezer! :)

Getting off SSRIS, working my tail off to survive, met somebody new, not much time for anything else really.

Are you around on Wednesday? I have to go by Lees to drop some stuff off, and I haven't seen you crazy kids and your menagerie in a loooooooong time.

I haven't hit the point of apathy about other people and their pets yet. I'm good at arguing, and I enjoy it, so I tend to point out a pet care issue, providing there is enough reason to (like the girl in that one ottawa community that wants to breed her cat.. blech).

I suppose one day I'll get over it, but right now I just HAVE to get involved. I love animals, and its all fine and good if people want to be stupid or cheap, but to do it at the expense of the welfare of an animal that can't tell you off or do much in its defense.. that pisses me off.

Anyone who is or was a pet owner has made mistakes in the past and learned from them.. I just try to help educate people to prevent the mistakes from being repeated.

And on that note, Monty is sitting beside me and whining for ear scratches :P

Totally understandable. I honestly have never lost a pet I was truly close to, so I can't say I know what it is like. The cats I grew up with are still alive back home (they're about 17 and 21 now, still going strong), and I can't imagine what it'll be like to lose them. I've never lost anyone in my family that I was close to either... so it'll be.. weird.

Sorry to hear about the rat problems you've had. Everyone I've known who has had rats always has some sort of awfully traumatic loss at some point, which really sucks. I don't think its something you can really avoid though, even with the best of care.. its just part of the biology of the beast.
