(Just for the record, a lot of this comes from head canon -- we are given precious little information about Shuraiya [though, I would like to point out, he gets a great deal more character development than most OP movie characters], but I've striven to keep my assumptions about the One Piece world and him as accurate to canon as possible.)

A-actually, I messed up my math -- I forgot that he was twelve when Gasparde ransacked Bascùd Island, so actually... he's nineteen at this point. XD;; He's twenty when the movie takes place, but when I joined, I wanted to make him a little younger, so that hopefully between now and then, I'll have some other OP characters to play out movie canon. :)

OH! Okies~ That makes sense. :3 Jacky's 17 herself, so says I! Cause they're never specific about it in canon since she was orphaned and lost track of time... She'll be 18 in August, though~ Kratos made her pick a birthday... XD

Of course dear~! <3 Jacky will too! She needs to make two posts... one thanking everyone for their help and she's going to write another talking about family and such.... that one will probably be private actually... XD

Yeah, sorry about that! XD I think seventeen makes sense for her, that seems about right, considering what you've told me of her canon. :) Ooh, a birthday! Shuraiya will have to come up with a nice present for her. ♥

When I have to make two posts like that, I usually make part of it private so as to not flood anybody. XD Two birds with one stone!

I don't think I saw it answered though, and I've always been curious; how did Shuraiya get his tattoo and what does it mean?

GOOD. Get into it and love it and and and~~ ♥ Also, JANGO REALLY?! I loved him, hahaha, oh my god. He doesn't go with Thriller Park though, but what ever. ALSO DID YOU EVER SEE MY THRILLER PARK GROUP?! ...there are way too many caps in this comment, I'm sorry, I just get so happy when other people are into OP. XDD;;

Anyway, his tattoo -- we don't actually know, but I did come up with something. Basically, when he first was out on his own, to toughen up his look, he got a tattoo on his damn face. I wrote a drabble about it at some point, but I can't find it, but ANYWAY, basically... it's a sickle. What are sickles used for? Two things: by the grim reaper, and by shepherds. Obviously, Shuraiya thinks himself a harbinger of death, and a shepherd of the damned.
