http://community.livejournal.com/shrating/93260.html THE BASICS
01. Name: Tasha
02. Age: 20
03. Gender: Female
04. Is that also the gender you would like to be stamped as? I don't really mind which gender I am stamped as, as long as I get a good fit. Definitely don't feel that you have to stick to female!
If this is a re-stamp, feel free to tell us who you were stamped as last time and in what ways you think this person does not correspond to your personality:
05. Likes: Debating, eating, cooking, reading, writing, being on the Internet, playing video games, holding hands, rock climbing, swimming, reading (oops, I already said that), political science, history, giving presentations in class, spending time with close friends, sleeping
06. Dislikes: Multiple choice tests, people who try to manipulate me, bad liars (if you're a good liar I can respect that trait, at least), parties, being asked awkward personal questions
07. Strengths: I am a very compassionate person and I'm good at listening to other people and helping them out. I like to think that I'm a good debater and can get my point across without making other people feel attacked--just making them reconsider. I'm a good cook, and I know how to have fun in basically every situation.
08. Weaknesses: I don't expose a lot of my emotions to people I don't know that well. There are very few people in my life that I would say truly 'know' me, because I'm pretty closed off about my feelings. I'm also not the most physically fit person, even though I do like doing things like rock climbing and swimming.
THIS OR THAT
(Please provide a short explanation as well)
09. Optimistic or pessimistic? Realist? I often describe myself as a pessimistic optimist. I worry that things won't turn out for the best, but I know that they eventually will.
10. Leader or follower? Leader. For me, I often feel like the only person I can trust in the end is myself. Not that other people aren't trustworthy, but that if something needs to get done, I'm the only one that can make myself do it and succeed.
11. Introvert or extrovert? Probably right in the middle. I like to give presentations in front of classes, and I have no problem participating in public speaking, but I really don't enjoy parties.
12. Mature or immature? Mature. I feel like I've had to grow up pretty fast, and that I have a good deal of responsibility. Of course, I can be immature around my friends when we're joking around, but my general attitude is more mature.
13. Violent or peaceful? Peaceful. I don't want to get in a physical conflict if I can help it, even though I've been in a couple in my lifetime (dumb middle school stuff, you know). I would rather talk something out.
14. Selfish or altruistic? Selfish, I guess. More in the sense that before I can help other people, I have to help myself. I need to be able to be okay so that I can then help other people be okay.
15. Rude or polite? Polite. I don't think that being rude really serves any purpose (even though there are definitely times when I snap at people or act like a jerk, because really, who doesn't?) and I think that a lot of things can be achieved if you act really polite about it.
16. Eat here or take away? Eat here. I like to go out and experience things, and while there is something to be said for getting takeout and sitting on the couch watching bad reality TV (can you tell I do this sometimes?) I also like to be out and enjoying the world.
JUMP DOWN THE HOLE
17. How do you present yourself in the company of friends? Around friends I am pretty talkative and funny, I think. I like to play video games and tell jokes. However, I don't think I expose my true feelings to a lot of my friends, so I can come off as reticent sometimes.
18. And in the company of your enemies? I don't like to show outward emotion, so I would be more calm around my enemies. I really don't like to let people see that they've rattled me or made me uncomfortable.
19. And what about the company of strangers? I think people see me as more confident than I am. In classes, around people I don't really know, I'll present myself as very confident and knowledgeable. It's a way of hiding my insecurities.
20. How do you react to people insulting your beliefs (your faith or your opinions in general)? I don't think insulting my opinions or faith will do anything to make me reconsider them. If someone just tells me that what I think is stupid, I'm not going to listen to them. They're not presenting a good case and there's no reason I should reconsider my viewpoints. If someone wants to present a really reasonable explanation to why I think what I think is flawed, then I'll reconsider. However, insults about my viewpoints aren't worth getting mad over.
21. And people insulting your loved ones? I don't like it when people insult my loved ones. I am pretty defensive of them and I won't hesitate to tell someone to stop insulting them.
22. And what about people insulting you? Eh, they can insult me if they want. Again, I don't have to listen to what they have to say, and for the most part I'll ignore them.
23. Are you better at coping with physical or mental pain? Mental, definitely. As I said before, I'm not that physically fit, and although I have a decently high pain threshold, I'd much rather deal with mental pain.
24. Are you better at defending yourself physically or verbally? Verbally. If it comes to it, I can fight physically, but I'd really prefer not to. It's easier to debate something than it is to just start punching someone.
25. Do you prefer to assault people physically or verbally? Well, there are definitely times that I've felt like punching someone, but I almost always use verbal assault rather than physical assault.
THE TOWN THAT TAKES ALL
26. Which Silent Hill character do you LEAST identify with and why? Least identify with... that's actually a hard question. I can't relate to Kaufmann, really. He just seems like such a jerk for no good reason. He seems really egotistical and his character always irritated me quite a bit--it seems like he preys on innocent people, and that's just not my cup of tea. I can't really find a redeeming quality in him.
27. Time to introduce you in a CUT SCENE! Are you the protagonist or somebody they meet? If you are the protagonist, then what brought you here? If not, what will you be found doing and how will you react to meeting that other person? I would definitely have to be the protagonist. I've just arrived in Silent Hill and I'm exploring, trying to find a weapon or something that can protect me. I would be very cautious and sneaking around, trying to avoid being seen by any lovely monsters.
28. Will you stay alone or join somebody else as soon as possible? I think staying alone is safer. In a lot of cases, being with someone else can prove a lure to enemies because they will more easily notice two people than just one. Sometimes there is strength in numbers, but I'd rather not risk it. I think I can go it alone.
29. Congratulations, you are now deceased! Next to your corpse, written in blood there is one sentence. What does it say? "Oops, I screwed that up"
30. And which set of lyrics, either from a song or poem would you like us to remember you by?
"Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in the old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are,
One equal-temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield."
--Ulysses (Tennyson)
31. Lastly, feel free to include one picture (no larger than 600 x 600) or a description of yourself. I don't have a good picture of myself right now, but I'm kind of tall for a girl (5'8") with short brown hair, broad shoulders, big green eyes, small hands, big hips, and some dramatic eyebrows!
