I just went and saw INCEPTION at the movies with Ness et al.

It was pretty damn good.

I was under the impression that limbo was the space between being asleep and waking up. Normally you'd die in the dream and then wake up. Instead, because they're super-sedated there's a 'gap' (limbo) between the dream-death and the waking.

I'm not sure how much scrutiny that idea holds up to, but that was my first thought.

gah! i'm so tempted to read your whole post, but we're seeing inception on the weekend! thanks for hiding the spoilers behind a cut :P i'm glad you say it's good - margaret and david rated it 4.5 stars a-piece, and i loved memento - the prestige was great but with some flaws.... anyway i'm sure inception will be awesome.
