If Kuma and Puma were put together, would they have enough brain cells for one cat? :)

Consider this, though - I'm 5'11", some of my bookshelves are taller than me, and Puma will "walk" down the side of them and jump to the ground. She'll also ride my shoulders while I'm standing, then jump off. She's fine each time.

I suppose a 12-foot drop would be harrowing for a caring cat owner, even knowing all of this.

I'm glad that Kuma is ok, and *hugs* to you!

OMG poor kitten. Just the thought of what happened almost makes me want to cry. ;_; I bet you felt the same way.

*huggles*

I'm thinking of Diana for you. :)

Remember, cats are built to climb up trees, but not to climb down. They're pretty durable when it comes to falling, out of necessity. :-)

I hope Kuma's back legs feel better soon.

Meg - cats can fall from a 20 story window, land on their feet and be totally fine (the things you learn watching Animal Planet). Not that I suggest you test this theory... But the next time Kuma takes a dive bomb you shouldn't have to be QUITE so scared of him falling. Until then, I'd say invest in a spray bottle and spray his ass every time he goes near the door.
