Neat effect, with the branches around the moon. Venus came out fairly large as well! What camera and focal length were you using? One of these days I need to pack up the kids and take a nighttime drive somewhere with less light pollution, show them what the night sky is SUPPOSED to look like. And try some astrophotography too, of course!
I had to check - I used a 300 mm lens on my Canon EOS Rebel T5 camera set at f/5 for a 4 second exposure at ISO 100. Yes, there's nothing like the night sky away from civilization, where you can lie back and let your eyes really SEE the many stars.
