Poor Steve. It took a lot for him to admit this to Danny but at least he has now so Danny knows he needs to be there for him.

Don't worry, Danny will take good care of Steve.

(PS Your icon is adorable! I keep wanting to offer him or her tummy rubs.)

Thank you! Her name's Boo, she was a rescue and is 15 now, an adorable and affectionate fluffball, and she absolutely adores tummy rubs!

Awwww. She sounds like a sweetheart. My sweetie and I are owned by two shelter cats who are absolute cuddle-kitties. It looks like you and Boo are as lucky as we are!

Poor Steve. He can't even ease the pain away with painkillers. I'm quite sure he's going to remember this "sleep well" kiss :-)

Well, he was almost unconscious. It could just be his mind playing tricks on him.... (At least, that's what Danny hopes he'll think.) ;>

This was lovely!

Good for Steve for trusting Danny and telling him about his nightmares/flashbacks, and I think Steve is so used to taking care of other people that he can't accept that someone might want to take care of him.

Keep up the great work on this fic :)

Thank you! Yeah, Steve is much better at taking care of others than letting them take care of him.

I'm so glad Steve told Danny what the painkillers do to his mind and that Danny understood him.

It can be hard to admit when you're scared or vulnerable like that, but Steve and Danny really trust one another.
