Well,

It's time for the old job search again. Last time I tried to get a job with Sabertooth, but ended up cutting off rat limbs. This time I have my eyes sent on a planner or economist job, or possibly going back to school. So that means I'll probably end up in some central african country as a freedom fighter.

I was at the gas pump today filling up my meager tank with premium gasoline, and I saw a lady in a cadillac escalade pull up and start filling it up with regular grade. Now, I don't neccesarily look down on that practice because I am unaware of the escalade's particular qualities of fuel use and requirements, but it made me think. Gas stations ( Read more... )

I'm so busy this month! It's a good thng mostly of course. I had Ant's wedding, then this weekend I'm going to NYC to see The Last Starfighter musical. I'm going to as many haunted houses as possible. I've got to be part of a kids program for church (I teach the kids), and the same weekend there is a movie saturday. I'm going to be updating this more often probably. I've just gotten back from Ant and Tiffany's wedding. AND WHAT A RIDE IT WAS!

The career fair turned up nothing. Everyone either wanted engineers, or salesmen. I don't think I would be a good salesman. I went to work for an hour and then weaseled out of it because I was feeling kind of blue. My new job is pretty decent, but I still feel like there is something else out there for me. My new job is kind of good, but also annoying. Pretty much the first thing they did was make fun of my degree and ask "what I plan to do with that", I answered "this". They were farily impressed with me by the end of the day though, so I think it will work out ( Read more... )

I got a new job working part time for a company that leases out space in the rat labs. I will be doing data entry and general Excel wrangling. I am excited for a change, as this will be *quite* a change from the usual rat duties, but I will continue my quest for more stimulating employment (hopefully with benefits). I feel trapped by words today. They want to escape me, but I don't know what wants to escape, so I will write this. Sometimes people just don't understand each other, I don't know why, but sometimes people who understand each other so well just stop sometimes. I'm still working at the rat lab, and it's not the worst job in the world. I've gotten a raise, and now make entirely too much money for such a job. To prevent brain atrophe, I've taken a volunteer job at an internet gaming website called n-insanity. It's just for nintendo systems, but thats cool because I enjoy them most anyway.
