Title: Esca, the Brigantes Warrior
Rating: G
Medium: colored pencils and photo-editing (saturation, etc)
Notes: An exploration of Esca if he had become a warrior in his father's tribe. I'd love any sort of feedback, of course, but especially if this is or isn't how you'd imagine him. Don't be shy, let me know! I plan on drawing more.

I dithered on adding facial hair: I wasn't sure if I added all I'd heard about a Briton's appearance he'd end up looking like a stereotype. This makes me want to differentiate between the tribes so I know in my head what a Brigantes looks like, Pict, Iceni, etc. All conjecture of course, but it'd be a fun project.
Also, has anyone drawn EOT9 characters as Pixar-ed Brave characters? I haven't drawn Disney characters since I was little but I'd do it for an OT3 something or other.

If I have a thought on 'not quite as expected' , I wondered if limewashed hair would really be that consistently white - it struck me as perhaps more bleached than limewashed. Though, mind you, I've not actually investigated, so possibly this is an example of viewer expectations just not matching reality!

Ooh, really? That makes sense, so should it be the color after bleaching with hydrogen peroxide, then? I did a smidgen of internet research, but nothing really explained how bleached your hair would be, I just thought white would look dramatic. It sounded like awful stuff to get near your scalp, however. Apparently if the mixture was a little too strong it would melt your hair, not bleach it.
