He had no idea whether it was the right thing to do, but at least it looked neater, and it got rid of the last remaining specks of Angel’s dust that might remain on him.

What a fascinating look into a mind that's gone twisted and so very wrong... it's interesting that while Spike is the "damaged" one by Giles' standards, Giles is so very damaged himself when measured on any mental scale. Loving this!

Poor Spike! He could hardly have fallen into worse hands. If Buffy had kept him herself, he'd be curled up on Joyce's knee right now, having his head stroked for the right reasons.
