I really like it.

Maybe I missed a post somewhere, but you're thinking of buying it, is that right? Is that not then the answer to "why move at all?" - to be paying equity instead of rent?

It looks spacious to me, and I love all the built-in bookshelves too, but you're the best comparison judge between it and your place.

Have fun looking!

You're so true. Even if we end up with a space almost exactly like our apartment (size, etc) it IS better to buy to build the equity.

Sadly, the hardwood floors are damaged. I asked Kent to explain how damaged they are, and it's pretty bad. I guess they put plywood in in certain areas when they were damaged, there's paint over some parts of it too, and gouges out of the wood :(

It looks nice! But it doesn't sound like you love it.

I really love the house. I just don't love the neighborhood :( I'm afraid it would be tough to sell if we had to more quickly than we wanted.

We just called a real estate agent to have her do some searching for us. Woohoo!

I really didn't. But I'm not sure if part of that was the fact that it's my boss's home, and it's not even on the market, you know? Walking around the house felt a bit like an invasion of his privacy.
