I wish I could take her! But my kitty is so very much the queen of her world that anytime other pets are near my sweetie she turns aggressive, mean, and bitter. :(

She was good with our friends kid when he was 3, provided he didn't get too grabby with the tail.

What Rojir said. She did her fair share of hiding when kids came over, but she did that with all new strangers. Once they were there for 20 minutes or so, she'd come out and sniff them. As long as they didn't try to bellyflop on her or pull her tail, she was fine. When they tried to get all up ins, she'd run away and hide under the bed.

Wow, that's a beautiful animal. I really wish I could help. When I ask H if we can get another cat, he said "Sure, which one of our existing cats are we getting rid of?"
