Oh, but it hurts so good.

((Coming from here and here!))My sister was going to kill me. Plain and simple. She would be committing murder one by the end of the day. There was no way Carly and I would be able to hide this from her... not that I wanted to. I wasn't ashamed or anything. Whatever Alex was going to throw at us, I felt I could handle. It had been worth it, anyway ( Read more... )

"Good morning."

Oh, she was cooking. I love when Carly cooks. I'm useless in the kitchen, which is another reason I spend so much time over at Carly and Alex's apartment. There's always food around. Of course, the pleasant company doesn't hurt at all...

"Yeah, I really did. How about you? You seemed peaceful, I didn't want to wake you."

That was really kind of sweet of her.

"Slept great," I told her honestly. It was hard not to after the night we'd had. I'd been exhausted by the end of it, but it definitely qualified as one of my more worthy conquests. Did it count as my conquest? Maybe it was a shared conquest. We conquest-ed each other.

I was still smiling when I looked towards the door to my sister's bedroom. Bring it on, Alex. I'm wasn't afraid of anything she might do or say. "How long do you think we've got until we get busted?"

Wouldn't matter if I was there or not. Alex would probably figure it out before her first cup of coffee even if I didn't stay.

"How long do you think we've got until we get busted?"I had to laugh at how casual Jake was acting about Alex's reaction. His attitude on that subject seemed to be the same as my own. Although I had to admit, I'd be a bit worried if she started screaming and throwing things. Her opinion does matter to me a little about these things, and of course, her feelings always matter. I wouldn't want to hurt her, but in all honesty, I don't think we did anything wrong.Or hurtful ( ... )

"It depends on how long it takes her to smell the food."

"Alright, that gives us about thirty seconds." I wasn't the only one who appreciated Carly's cooking. In fact, I don't think anyone appreciated cooking in general as much as my sister did. I've never seen a girl pack away food the way Alex does. Where does it go? I swear, she's as bad as a guy when it comes to that stuff.

"Can you get that bowl for me?"

"Sure thing." I really should buy the girls a stepladder for Christmas or something. Grabbing the bowl from the top of the fridge, I set it down on the counter next to where Carly was working.

"Need any help with anything? I'm not very good in the kitchen, but I make a mean slice of toast."

"I might have to stop by and visit. Unless you'd have a problem with that."

That look she's giving me tells me that whatever I say next will impact me greatly. Hmm.

"No problem at all. I'd like that, actually. Gets lonely down there, you know, and I always welcome your company." I smiled as I watched her pour the pancake batter and turn aroung, leaning back and making myself cozy as I could in the kitchen chair I'd helped myself to a few minutes before.

I'm always the first one to admit it. I'm a whore. A manwhore. Sometimes, I'm rather proud of that. So what if I came off sounding like some kind of diva manslut?

Catch me on the right day, and it's nothing but the truth.

"Long as it's not too far out of your way. You could drop by, I'll hook you up with a couple of apple jacks, and you can give me a reason to ignore the noisy drunkards for a little while."

Sounds romantic, doesn't it?

Lonely? With all of the hookeresque women ready to take him home? Somehow, I seriously doubt that. He just wants a slayer to screw him under the table. In it's literal sense, and with a little tweaking, I wouldn't mind that idea. And I have no clue why I'm thinking this...other than the fact that it's Jake, and we're good together, and the second time is always better than the first if you're brave enough to go back for seconds. I usually don't care to, but in this case, we do stand to gain some enjoyment.

I don't drink a lot, I used to try and avoid it, but I can handle a few before it goes to my head. When I' ( ... )

"One reason? I think I deserve a little more credit than that. I could give you several."

I love when she gets all coy like that.

"I'm sure you will," I told her, smirking. "Looking forward to it, even."

We've finally slept together, but the constant flirtation is still going strong. Can't say that I mind. It's always been one of my favorite parts about talking to Carly.

"It is nice to know that you enjoy the pleasure of my company."

"I enjoy a lot of things about you," I said honestly, still smirking. I got up to pour myself a cup of the coffee that had just finished brewing. "And your company is definitely near the top of the list."

That's a little better. I mean, I would assume that it's a little better. If I knew why I was doing this, then I'd think it was better. Right now I'm just seriously determined to mess with him a little, and it doesn't matter if we're talking about a mental or a physical way. Jake's a lot of fun. Last night? That was good. I think that he should want to do it again, regardless of whether or not I do. And I'm not saying that I don't want to. I just figure that since I'm a vampire slayer, I'm a little more...fun than most of the girls that he's used to.

Unless he likes them strictly for the bleach.

Is it bad that I think there are parts of my anatomy that rank higher than my personality?

Nah. I mean, he is a guy. Best friend's brother or not, he's a guy. I turned my attention back to the pancakes and flipped them over. Guys. I expect these things from guys. Even magic guys like Jake ( ... )
