I learned today that procrastination is a defense mechinism... ponder that one. It's a perfectionist's way of avoiding the stress and anxiety from their need to do things perfectly. (Warning: do not confuse procrastination with laziness, they are 2 entirely different entities). At least, this is what my psych book tells me...
