Book Entry January 2015

Hello, and welcome to this first book entry of 2015! A slightly different set-up. But all the reviews will still be put under cuts.

I don't think I've mentioned any of my reading goals here on LJ. I have a few. Some are very achievable. Others might be a bit harder. But I like to work towards something ( Read more... )

I haven't read in so long. Seeing this makes me want to read, but if I actually will - I don't know.
I've been on the same book for months and months! OOPS.

Some books can throw you in a reading slump. It tends to help me to put them away for a while. More often than not it isn't the book but my mood that causes me to not be able to finish it. I put it away for later and choose something very different. Often shorter too, haha.
Which book is it?

I'm reading The broken eye - by Brent Weeks, from the Lightbringer series. I've loved the series and another series he's done, but that's not the problem.
I'm just in a slump at the moment and no reading is drawing my full attention...

Yaaaay, book post!!! <3

I've never read Phillip Pullman's books but most people I know hated them passionately... The movie looked slightly interesting to me because of the mythology/world building but I never watched it either.

I really enjoyed Fairest too! I didn't know what to expect either but it was just the perfect little snippet of the Lunar Chronicles for me. I can't wait for Winter though! Those first few chapters at the end of Fairest has me dying for more!!!

Yeay, books!

I agree, the movie looked interesting. Though not the greatest adaption again I realize after reading the first book. The first book had so much potential but then he took this turn that was just a whole lot of horrible.

It was! I haven't read those first chapters of Winter, because it makes the wait even harder, haha.

I tried to wait but it was too much of a temptation for me and I caved! Oh well, at least it didn't end on a super huge cliffanger or anything.

I have a bunch of friends on Good Reads who read over a hundred books each year. I would love to know how they do it, I am so envious :X Every year I pledge at least ten, then up to twenty. The most I read one year was thirty one.

I like the Pop Sugar book challenge, makes me inspired to get back to the goal this year - already behind with only one book read. :(

Some breath books, haha. I know some also read a lot of graphic novels to fill the numbers seeing by their list on Goodreads. Some read faster than others too. I read 77 last year so I figured a jump to 100 shouldn't be so bad, haha.

It is very helpful to have challenges like that~
