When my mom went into the hospital this time, I told her that I would stay with her because her room is private and the couch pulls out into a bed. She's always in some form of pain because of the amputation, and sit up with her and hold her hand when she's in pain

In two weeks it will me a year since my mother had her foot amputated. It's best to take things slowly and not give up. Otherwise she might hurt herself.
*hugs* I wish you all the best! Your mom will recover and all will be well! I say this cause I've already been through this!

I was reading this as my mom came in to say goodnight - she asked what was wrong, why I looked so sad. I'm just sorry it's so tough for you *hugs again*

She's doing much better now actually, the doctor has declared her wound all healed, though she still isn't allowed to wear a shoe just yet (even though she does anyway, so hard-headed) she doesn't need her walker anymore either and she's getting around much better now...it's a relief.
We don't talk much, but i'd like to change that...if you don't mind :D
