i've been trying to get married so that i can claim independence from my parents and get the financial aid needed to attend an expensive school like reed. obviously this type of marriage is not as frightening as a 'serious' marriage.

when one of my ex-boyfriends told me he was engaged, that was about the *can't think of good adjective*-est moments of my life. someone i dated and loved as a friend planning to vow to spend the rest of his life with one girl... i'll completely second the scary bit.
