I'm really having trouble finding the motivation to study for finals/work on one of my finals, which is a week long take home exam as there seems to be quite a lot of people not working as a lot of grad students I know just have that one take home exam from genetics

I couldn't agree more about The Simpsons. I loyally watch it too, it's like we have to keep supporting the show we once loved, even though it's changed. I blame it on Tim Long, and Matt Groening leaving, and can put the start of the change around season 11. Yes, I've been watching all the old DVDs and taking note on who's writing what. XD

All the characters have changed, they're basic personalities are there, but the soul has left. Homer's become just a jackass, not the good-intentioned father he once was. The "rules" that Matt Groening has talking about in the past have been broken. It's sad, but I think this season has been getting slightly better than the last one, but perhaps that's because I don't have much to compare it to.

Community is great, and I'm liking 30 Rock this season too. Do you watch The Office or Parks and Recreation as well?

I don't watch The Office and I've seen a few episodes of Parks and Recreation and liked it (the one where people from Chile was it or Brazil visit and the other one where she is preparing for her first date w/ someone).
