For Those Who Would Like to Know
My father died peacefully in his sleep last night.
EDIT: Thank you guys so much. There's been an outpouring of love for our family-- from friends, from coworkers, from people we're not even sure how they knew.
My dad was a warm and wonderful person, and he soldiered on with unfailing humor and grace. He always managed to keep his spirits up and put ( Read more... ) -

...and my mom just came downstairs and told me how depressed she was because all of her children have become corrupt and none of us are good Christians and where did she go wrong raising us. And she was serious.
And a little kid at work asked me today "Why do you make mistakes so good?"

Susan and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
Which, funnily enough, started extremely well. This morning was very good indeed. Apartment-hunting good, happy-and-excited good, finally-taking-a-tangible-step-toward my future good. Dad Update: he is finally home. Hoorah!

Heart attacks: 1
Operations: 2
Stents implanted in his heart: 2
Pills he is on: 23 (I think)
Cysts discovered on liver: 1
MRIs needed: 2 (the second is coming up-- they have to use special dye that won't kill his kidneys.)
