i love this so much ♥ the way they interact here is so sad and delicate and wonderful.

It's so heartbreaking and compelling to read a story where, even in his dreams, James can't escape from his torture.

I especially like how his relationship (in her hospital days) was amplified, then explained later to have been done so by the town warping James' subconscious. I was curious at first if their relationship had really become that turbulent towards the end, but it's so perfectly fitting to have the town be the one pulling all the strings.

Beautiful story, beautifully written dream ♥
