The Dynamo won the Western Conference championship last week, and the game was a total blast to watch. Today, they won against the New England Revolution and are now the MLS champions! Woo hoo!!

It wasn't QUITE as exciting to watch the game from the couch instead of from the stands, but the game today was in Frisco. It was cool to see tons of fans ( Read more... )

Well, here goes nothing.

Just a quick note here that I'm in Buenos Aires. Tomorrow we leave for the Iguazu water falls (and we will probably even be crossing into Brazil!). I should be back on the 10th and will post stories and pictures then.

It's fantastic here!

What I want to get accomplished this summer:

- Internship at law office/ continue working for my dad

- Volunteer with READ Houston

- Do thesis research

- Study for the LSAT

- Take guitar lessons

- Take a speed reading class

- Do more Yoga / be able to run 3 miles

- Dance more

- Read more of the books on my book list

I'm in a work out rut and once I'm a free woman (that is, once I'm done with school and all I'm doing is working full time) I want to get back into it. I can feel my body craving activity, no more sitting at a desk at all hours of the day. Once upon a time I used to go do Bikram yoga once a week. I didnt go for long because it was expensive. I've found my summer internship. I'll be working at a law firm with 4 lawyers (plus one that just rents space) and all their assistance.  They do bankruptcy, civil litigation, and general litigation.

I'll be the jack of all trades doing anything from 
receptionist duties to 
generating letters to 
filing to
whatever else they decide they need me for.

Daniel and Karl and I came home from dinner last night and made s'mores. Oh, my, word, it was so delicious.

Of course, Daniel managed to down twice as many as we did. It was fantastic and cozy cooking them over an open flame. Okay, maybe it wasnt so cozy since we were cooking them over the gas burners in the kitchen. Muahahaha.

Yesterday my mother was watering the plants that hang off our roof, and as she's spraying the water up there she sees something plopping to the ground, and then another, and another, and another! She runs over to see and they are little baby birdies, all cute and fluffy and bumbling around ( Read more... )
