This project is absolutely amazing.  In France and Germany 35% of literature is translated from other languages.  In the US, it's less than 3%. The director of CIS (Center for International Studies) at St. Thomas really pushes undergraduate research (which is why we're forced to write a thesis in order to graduate).  The upside of him wanting us to really experience the "research" thing is that we have the option of submitting abstracts for the chance to get picked to present at the annual ( Read more... )

Totally exciting -- David Beckham has signed to play with the LA Galaxy!!  God bless my parents for having season tickets, I can't wait to see those games, and hopefully this will be just the boost the MLS needs.

We'd better be getting a new soccer stadium. We're freaking MLS Champions and still playing at the UH field.
