Trouble. G. TTM # 62 - solitary confinement.

Sep 29, 2007 02:58

Fandom: Only my own.
Prompt: # 62 - solitary confinement
Warnings: Nothing really. Just some mention of violence but nothing big.
Rating: G (yeah, I know.)
Summary: Just Renée and Veronika Slavik having a little chat about responsibility, now that she has a newbie under her wing. One more incident and actions will have to be taken.

A/N: I had this thing planned in my head and I still want to write it, but I just... had a kinda depressing week (bah. mostly because I'm a news junkie and this whole Burma thing. Yeah, sounds maybe kinda silly to other people.). I have loads of char's. in the tags but really some are only mentioned but I thought that still deserved a tag. Heh.

I'm so gonna write the rest but it needs to simmer a bit longer. I also might make a better banner in the future but right now, not feeling very artistic.

"It's solitary confinement for him the next time, if you can't control him. You knew this when you changed him." Veronika Slavik told Renée who was sulking in a chair in the Library while Veronika told her blah blah blah. Okay, so she didn't say that, but that's basically what Renée heard her say because it's not like she hadn't heard that many times over when directed at her or just eavesdropping as a kid.

"Yeah, yeah. I know, Ronnie. It was a miscalculation on my half. I thought he could handle it, how was I to know that his friend wouldn't drop it." Renée muttered to her old school friend. She had taken Eli to his place to pick up some clothes, but turns out his roommate was at home and decided to be all concerned for his friend. Jeeze, so not the right time for that.

"Well, Ben Vigo doesn't seem like he's going to press any charges. I don't think he would have even told us who did it. He said he fell on a barbecue fork. You can't believe how many times they've heard that one. But even if they just suspect vampire involvement they have to call us, and since Gabriel had called earlier to let us know you had a new one we decided to check that out and oh, what a big surprise... he was the victim's roommate." Ronnie (a nickname stuck to her long ago by Renée) told her old friend, who actually when they were 18 had brought her to a party that Aidan was throwing in the absence of their parents.

That had been a blast, but off course like half an hour later Ronnie's father came bursting into the place and looking for her. She had just started talking to Aidan who was just so way hot. Especially nice to look at to a 18 year old, overprotective girl like Veronika. She hadn't a clue as to where Renée went off but was a bit annoyed at being ditched when she needed the help to escape.

Her father found her, because that damn traitor of a brother of Renée's grabbed one of her arms and didn't let her escape. Off course, Jay was next to him and both guys were grinning like mad. Not that her father said Thanks to him or anything, he just grabbed her arm which was so going to be bruised and dragged her out of the house.

Asking her about how she could be so stupid and didn't she knew what half the people were in there. Off course, no he didn't know back then and it's not like he had helped with the barging in. He then told her that they were vampires, he had seen enough vampire related crimes to know what happened and he was not going to let it happen to HIS daughter. Bitter, anyone?

Her mother thought that he held a thankless job with the city that payed next to nothing and was really sad when renée followed in his footsteps. Off course, she didn't know that said thankless job was working on all the vampire related cases. It's not like they could just come out and say it. That the Government knew about vampires, Faes, Elves and that whole kebab. Off course not, they had to be all secret and mucking about.
