Wilson gestured vaguely in the direction of his bedside table. The bedside table, probably and justifiably not understanding why it was being gestured at, was as little help as the ceiling.

The rating is a bit of a Douglas Adams tip-off, isn't it? I wrote this a while back after reading up on Wowbanger the Eternally Prolonged for a crossover that I'll probably never complete. He's mentioned in the first chapter of Life, the Universe and Everything that begins with the words 'The regular early morning yell of horror was the sound of Arthur Dent waking up and suddenly remembering where he was'…and then came the rest in an odd sort of way.

It is common practice to quote one's favorite lines in a comment. Unfortunately, I don't think the comment area is big enough for me to quote the fic in its entirety.

LOL! Utterly wonderful. The background construction, and House's cryptic protestations of hatred were so spot-on-perfect! And the ending, those first few moments when your brain is still trying to take inventory and make sure that all your parts are still where you left them last...and then that dawning moment of "oh crap I feel like absolute shite today..." Again, LOL, wonderful stuff! ;)
