in hunter-gatherer societies, e/h < E/T, where
e = energy required to pick up/catch the food type (like strawberries, or a rat)
h = handling time in stopping to pick up/catch the food type
E = average total energy spent in foraging for that season
T = average total time spent in foraging for that season
so stop to pick up the food type when e/h > E/T.
