I will send postive thoughts out there for your gf, I hope she can get herself out of this situation. I think it is a positive first step that she relizes she needs to get out.

We have had some huge projects this year and it has just been impossible to get away. We spoke to my boss last week about it. I think we are going to get it planned and paid for in this fiscal year, but not actually go until the spring. Most touristy spots are closed from October to March because of the dark winters there. That sounds appealing to me, not so much to the sun loving boyfriend. :)
