discriminated

We were discriminated not once but twice on Saturday in downtown. I am quite certain that "Red Door" is racist. You should take a good luck. Everyone that gets to go in are white. The bouncer gave us a bullshit reason saying that he could not confirm that the picture on the driver's license isn't really the person standing before him. If I punch ( Read more... )

um, i hate going out in houston now. they make like the world is knocking on down their doors to get in. i mean, going out in houston is pretty cool, but get real, it's not THAT cool. attitudes like that just make clubs fade in 6 months like they usually do! glad you had fun staying in. :)

Houston isn't fun really. Downtown is just so run down. It's those thugs that make it bad for everyone.

Where are you by the way? Cali?

yeah, the houston scene isn't all that and i WORK in the industry. red door has been infamous for that for years, not just that but they also tend to only like groups with a lot of girls.
there was this guy that currently works at hue that was infamous for stopping asians. he first did that to licor lounge (asians weren't allowed in licor lounge for quite a while) and the owners got upset and fired him. now he does it at hue... bastards.

it's unfortunate but asians bring a reputation around houston. not only do fights break out but some people even consider it a sign that they aren't doing so well. that's why a lot of places won't let an asian promoter in. =/

i think it's the same guy that you are referring to. My friend saw this same hispanic guy that worked at hue and didn't let him in.

That's sad to think that asians means that they are not doing well. It's those low life guys who try to prove their manliness by fighting.

I miss the Austin night life.

Uhmmm ... yeah. Little Vietnamese dudes are all full of ego and testosterone. People in LA get patted down at clubs. It's crazy but sometimes necessary to keep the peace and prevent violence.

Then again, I've been in a fight in a club in Houston.

I, however, did not start it.

Maybe if i really wanted to get into the club. But, if they don't want my business, I don't care to go into their club anyhow.
